Indonesia is one of the world’s largest countries, spanning 17,500 islands and covering a large area of land and sea. With such a vast expanse of land and sea, it’s no surprise that Indonesia is divided between 7 different time zones. The majority of the country is located in the Western Indonesian Time Zone (WIB), which includes Jakarta, Batam, Bali, and several other islands. Other time zones in Indonesia include Central Indonesian Time Zone (WITA), Eastern Indonesian Time Zone (WIT), and some small amounts of Indian or UTC+6 time.
