Iceland is roughly divided into two time zones:

UTC+00:00, also known as Greenwich Mean Time or GMT, is the official time zone for Iceland as set by the Ministry of the Interior. This time zone also applies in the Faroe Islands, which is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

UTC+01:00, also known as Icelandic Standard Time, is observed by Iceland during the summer months from March to October, when the country moves their clocks forward one hour to take advantage of the longer daylight. During this time period, the country is on Western European Summer Time or WEST.
