Most of the Netherlands is in the Central European Time Zone (CET), which is one hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This time zone is also known as Western European Time (WET). Parts of the Netherlands that border neighboring countries may follow those countries' time zones.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is observed in the Netherlands from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. When DST is in effect, clocks are set ahead one hour.

The abbreviation for Central European Time is CET. The Netherlands does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
