Tonga is part of the UTC+13 time zone, which is also known as the Tonga Time Zone. The time zone is 13 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It is in the same time zone as the majority of the Pacific Islands, as well as some parts of New Zealand and the eastern coast of Russia. The majority of Tonga observes Tonga Standard Time year-round, with no Daylight Saving Time. There is, however, an exception for the island of Niuatoputapu, which does observe DST. DST begins on the last Sunday in October and ends on the last Sunday in March.
