Exact time with seconds in Taiwan and timezones
Taiwan Standard Time (TST) is the official standard time zone for Taiwan. This time zone is 8 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+08:00). It does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
TST is widely used in Taiwan, even outside of the official cities of control, which are Kaohsiung, Taichung, Tainan, Taipei, Yilan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taoyuan, Hualien, and Nantou. This means that the time observed by local citizens may differ slightly from the standard.
In addition to TST, there are two other unofficial time zones used in Taiwan: China Standard Time (CST), which is the same as Beijing Time (UTC+08:00); and Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is the same as Hong Kong Time (UTC+08:00). For international travel, many people use CST as their default zone because it is more widely accepted globally.
